Devirginizing the blog! (that sounds so dirty...)

Hello, good people of the internet! It is I, SuperGrov- um. AmeliaGrace!

Alright, so mostly I made a blogger account so that I can pester my dear friend and pie-adoring cohort, Paulius, via yet another online service. But I've also sort of been pondering keeping a blog about interesting stuff I stumble into on Second Life. AND SO, MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS! Here we are. I don't have a good idea yet of what this will become, and it's quite possible it will fizzle and become merely another ghost-town-esque piece of the web, but we must live in the NOW. And thus we'll pretend that I won't flake off on this in a week. :)

I'm still relatively new to SL. Not new enough to partake of the wonders of the Money Tree, but new enough to still say "Oh wow, really?" every time someone explains something to me. And so it is that I just went to my first SL wedding this week. Woohoo!

Who was getting married? My friend Iroc and his ladylove Maria, with whom I worked at CandyLand until it closed not long ago. There were a few people at the wedding that I knew, mostly from the club, and some I didn't. The wedding setup was really pretty, and though the bride's dress was giving her some trouble at the beginning, it was absolutely gorgeous when she finally got it sorted and came down the aisle. I'm still amazed at the stuff people can make on SL. (Ask Paulius about my fascination with flexi. Sigh, flexi. How I love you.) It's pretty amazing to the girl who's pretty sure that computers work by a secret sort of magic, probably involving imps.

Let's see, what else has happened lately? CandyLand closed, as I mentioned. That's a bummer. I worked there, but I actually really liked hanging out there, too. Really nice people. Rumor has it that the club might/will open back up at some point, and I'm hoping for that. It was a cool place, with genuinely cool people.

Speaking of that, now I don't know quite what to do with myself in SL. Before when I couldn't think of where to go, my default option was just to head back to the club and see what was going on there. Now I'm a rollin' stone, I guess. Whereever I go, that is my home. I don't know the rest of the song, so consider yourself spared.

I haven't looked much for another SL job. I probably should - my shopping habit is going to have me broke in very short order - but eh. From what I hear I seriously lucked out with the way cool people at Candy's, and being able to pretty much work when I chose, and all of that... so I think I'm a little wary of trying other places. What does the future hold for AmeliaGrace Zhukovsky? No one knows, but with her trusty cordless showerhead and her AWESOME hat, she forges on, my friends.

She forges on.
